About me

Anxious? Depressed? Feeling Sad? Feeling Low? Not feeling yourself? Let's talk.

Accessible, tailored mental healthcare in-person or from the comfort of your own home - whatever works best for you.

Going round in circles? Realised that you end up in similar situations time & again? Need help breaking the cycle?

Tried other things: self help, light-touch counselling, talking to friends, exercise, getting organised … still feel like something’s not quite right? Then Psychodynamic Counselling may be helpful to you.

My practice is based in Psychodynamic Theory, which means that it is a deep dive, more of a physio’s sports massage than an aromatherapy rub. We work to get to the root of what is causing you pain, stuckness, anxiety, depression or is somehow blocking you from being the best version of yourself.

There is nothing that you cannot talk about / that we cannot consider together: all of you is welcome. Just bring yourself. Together we will reflect and work through whatever it is that is troubling you. There is nothing too big or small to discuss.

This is your space.

Training, qualifications & experience

Fully Qualified & experienced Psychodynamic Counsellor

Member of BACP

I trained at the Leicester Centre for Psychodynamic Counselling & practice from a Psychodynamic basis, drawing from other modalities at times to best support my clients.  Psychodynamic Theory is based on the understanding that we are influenced by our early life experiences & most importantly by our early relationships.

I have experience working in the Voluntary Sector for the Mental Health Helpline SANE and supporting new mothers via the charity the Association for Post Natal Illness, as well as working with families in crisis through the charity Homestart & being an adviser to ITV around post-natal illness storylines.

I have experience of working with people with ASD & ADHD.

The therapeutic relationship is key and it is important that you are comfortable with your therapist: it is your choice who you work with. It is ok to try a few out at first if you wish to.

I work with human beings. Anyone and everyone is welcome. Whatever you wish to discuss is welcome.

BSc Hons. Pg. Dip. MBACP.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
