I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor working in private practice serving clients in Lewes, Haywards Heath, Plumpton, Burgess Hill, Hassocks, Hurstpierpoint, Newick, Uckfield, Brighton and surrounding areas. As well as working in private practice, I work within a Sussex NHS GP Surgery, supporting patients who face wide ranging issues.
I work with men, women, and children offering short-term or long-term therapy. I am experienced in low confidence, negative self-belief, burn-out, work-related issues, anxiety, depression and other issues.
How can Counselling Help?
Our work may explore early relationships and experiences and how these impact on you today. Or maybe you would like to explore negative thoughts you hold of yourself in order to reduce anxiety or depression.
I have always been passionate about people’s well-being and what gets in the way of this. Having previously worked for 10 years in a corporate marketing environment, I am deeply aware of how important it is for us to be able to function well. I can see how vital our mental health is and just how bad we can feel, when our doubts and fears become overwhelming.
How I work
My approach is Integrative, meaning I tailor our sessions to meet your needs because we are all different. I use Person-Centered, TA, Egan and Gestalt as the foundation of my work. I work Humanistically meaning, you are an expert on yourself and I am here to facilitate you to make choices and changes to improve your emotional well-being.
Each of us has the full potential to be the best we can be. When something gets in the way of this, I offer a safe and accepting space for you to talk and I welcome you with warmth and without judgement. All that is said between us is confidential.
