Are you struggling with the pressures of life?
Life can have many anxieties and you may not know who to turn to for support. I offer a relaxed and confidential space in which we can explore what life changes you would like to make. As an experienced Counsellor I can walk this path alongside you, offering support along the way, listening to you without any judgement, all of which can lead to making positive changes in your life. I am able to offer Counselling for adults, couples and children aged 5 and upwards. Home or work place visits can also be arranged. I also offer workshops for schools or work places. I have extensive training and experience of supporting individuals with a variety of mental health and wellbeing difficulties including but not limited to, Anxiety, Depression, Low-self-esteem, OCD, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Self-Harm, Suicidal thoughts, Domestic Abuse, Sexual, Emotional and Physical Abuse. I also have experience of working with children on the Autism Spectrum.
I offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) informed therapy. According to CBT Research individuals who are offered CBT remain well for longer. CBT focuses on challenging unhelpful thoughts and behaviours. I also offer Person-centred Counselling, which was founded by Carl Rogers. It is a non-directive talking therapy. I will provide you with a non-judgemental, empathetic environment and support you so that you feel empowered to find your own solutions and make appropriate changes in your life.
I also offer Rewind Therapy; according to the Intenational Association for Rewind Trauma Therapy "Rewind Therapy has become internationally recognised as indispensable to treat PTSD, anxiety and phobias and may provide closure".
Rewind Therapy is used to treat post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety and phobias such as flying. This technique is an effective and comfortable treatment of which may reduce and provide closure for trauma, anxiety and phobias. Clients are guided through a deep state of relaxation and visual imagery. There is no need to talk about the traumatic incident which could re-traumatise clients. The Rewind Therapy technique is also known as the visual/kinaesthetic dissociation technique. This technique may reduce or even stop:
Distress from reminders of the trauma
Physical sensations such as pain, shaking, nausea or sweating
Intrusive thoughts or images
Child and Adolescent Counselling
Is your child experiencing emotional or behaviour problems? Counselling may be useful in helping to resolve these difficulties. Counselling can provide children with a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment to talk through any difficulties they may be experiencing. I will often discuss any new skills in which I use with children with parents so that they too can support their child in using these new skills.
Counselling can provide an opportunity to learn new ways of managing any problems and develop new skills of which the child can use during their life.
I offer Counselling for adults who are experiencing mental health and well-being difficulties.Life can be emotionally challenging at times and stressful. I offer a safe, non-judgemental and confidential therapeutic environment for you explore your difficulties. I work alongside my clients to help them to solve any difficulties they are experiencing
I offer Couples Counselling to support you both through any difficulties in the relationship, so that you are able to work through them together.

I have worked as a Counsellor providing mental health and well-being support in a variety of settings which include schools, domestic abuse charities, sexual violence charities and children’s mental health services for children aged 5 and upwards. I have also run group mental health drop in sessions for many years, supporting individuals and seen many positive outcomes. I also offer mental health and well-being workshops.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
