About me

I'm Nicola and I am a qualified Humanistic Counsellor, with over 18 years experience working in a supportive capacity in mental health, bereavement, homelessness, domestic abuse and also with children.

I have a strong interest in reaching out to people who struggle with low self esteem, low self worth and anxiety.

I work with people from 18 years of age from my home near Nottingham city centre.  My base is accessible via tram, bus, or train and there is free roadside parking available.

Where will the session take place?

I offer sessions via Whatsapp video calls, telephone or face to face sessions in a safe, confidential and comfortable room in my home.

I also offer walk and talk therapy if you prefer to be outdoors in the fresh air and open space whilst exploring your thoughts and feelings. This does not need to involve a high level of fitness! We can sit on a park bench, or walk at your own pace.

Long and short term counselling

I work on both a longer term and short term basis in a person-centred way to best suit your needs. I can help you to find your own answers by guiding and supporting you safely through your experiences, thoughts and feelings at your pace.

What can I expect from my first session?

Your first session will be for us to meet and talk about what you may want from the sessions, and to see if this is the right thing for you. This will be for 30 minutes and is free of charge. All following sessions last 1 hour.

If you have any questions or you would like to book a session, then please get in touch. You can call me on  07801 268211 or click here to email me.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
