Nicola Juffs Humanistic Counsellor BA (Hons) NCS Accredited
I have a degree in Humanistic Counselling Practice BA (Hons). I am an accredited member of the National Counselling Society and hold professional indemnity insurance. I practice from my home in Nottingham, located near the city centre, and is accessible via public transport and has available roadside parking. My approach is empathic and non-directive, and have a particular interest in helping the client develop their self-worth and self-care, as well as people who have experienced domestic abuse. My background is over 15 years experience working in a supporting capacity in homelessness, mental health, bereavement, domestic abuse and also with children.
How Counselling Can Help:
My approach is an empathic, person-centred manner, which is non-directive, encouraging clients to find their own answers and their own direction in their lives. Most of us need to ask for help at some point in our lives, and sometimes, talking things through to a qualified counsellor can help to put life into perspective, and make some sense of difficulties you are experiencing at this time. I will not judge or give advice.
What To Expect From Your First Session:
The first session is for 30 minutes, and is to assess whether or not the type of counselling I offer may help you at this stage in your life. How many sessions you will need will ultimately be up to you as the client and we can discuss this in the first session.
