Human beings are not born once and for all on the day their mothers give birth to them, but life obliges them over and over again to give birth to themselves.

I am an experienced integrative counsellor working with couples and individuals .
I offer humanistic therapy as well as CBT and specialized trauma therapy.
Life is difficult at times , but research has shown that psychological therapy helps. I offer a safe space where you can explore your current and past difficulties, supporting you in making the changes you want to see in your life:
Difficulties with life can have many different beginnings. Many of them stem from what we learnt when we were small in our families, school and society at large but can also be caused by traumatic events, bereavement, break up of relationships and many more.
Symptoms like anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, low self esteem, addictions etc.is how our body and mind communicate that something needs to change.
I integrate the newest findings of neuroscience into my approach, which empathize the importance of including the body and mind as a whole into therapy .This means that we will focus as much on what you say as also how you feel and what you do, so that you can make lasting changes.
I like to work from home which offers more space and possibilities to create the environment for my clients that is most therapeutically beneficial.
I offer long and short term therapy.
I am particularly passionate about working with couples experiencing relationship difficulties.
I understand how difficult relationships are in our times and how everyone suffers if they go wrong. Relationships offer us a great way to learn and heal if we can only harness their potential.
Relationship counselling can also be helpful to couples who want to gain some understanding into their patterns and ways of relating, before difficulties arise.(Pre-nuptial Counselling)
My approach to relationship counselling focuses on understanding difficulties as a potential for change and growth. Most relationships run into trouble after the first honeymoon period and many people then feel as if they have done something wrong or are even with the wrong partner. In creative couple work this is understood as a necessary and useful stage in any relationship where real growth can happen.
Especially if children are involved I would urge you to try counselling before giving up, as we all know how damaging a separation can be .
Not every couple can stay together but even when you separate having the support and understanding of trained professional can make the difference between an acrimonious divorce and shared agreement.
