About me

I currently only have online therapy slots available.

I am a Drama Psychotherapist and EMDR Therapist specialising in work with trauma, attachment difficulties and dissociation.

I work with children, families and adults and will be able to offer private therapy to adults from January 2020.

I work in a way that combines different therapeutic approaches and models so that I can tailor our work to suit your needs. The different types of therapy I integrate into my practice include the creative arts therapies, cognitive and talking therapies, mindfulness and EMDR.

Our first session will be an assessment of your therapeutic needs, strengths and difficulties and how your early attachment relationships and experiences are impacting your current functioning.

Following a period of trust building, reflection and learning around current and past difficulties/coping strategies and the purpose they serve, I often encourage clients to spend time with me building their internal resources, support network and strategies for managing stress and conflict. I offer psychoeducation to help clients better understand the impact of chronic stress and trauma on the brain, body, behaviour and relationships. This learning will enable you to better understand the origins of your difficulties and recognise and manage stress responses in a healthy and constructive way.

I will often then use EMDR to help alleviate the behavioural, emotional and physical impact of trauma, both significant one-off events (such as a car accident or medical procedure) or repeated experiences of work-related stress, relational difficulties or bullying experiences during childhood.

I am happy to offer a free 30-minute telephone consultation so you have the opportunity to ask me questions and decide whether I may be the best practitioner to help you.

I currently practice in Roundhay Leeds and offer the following sessions for adults:

EMDR Sessions – 1.5 hours (£70)
Therapy Sessions – 1 hour (£45)
