About me

Are you feeling stressed, overwhelmed and unsure of how you are feeling but just know something is not right? Do you struggle with everyday life, are you feeling trapped, scared or alone. Do you find it hard to get out of bed in the morning and lack interest in the things you used to enjoy? If you do not understand why you feel low and anxious, we can work together, to get to explore your experiences and enjoy a better quality of life. I have extensive knowledge and experience working with abuse and trauma as well as depression and anxiety. I work face to face, online using Teams or Zoom and also by telephone.

We can discuss your issues in a confidential and safe space. Working together to enable you to manage the situations you find yourself struggling with and find a healthy way of coping. If you find talking hard and like creative things, we can complete creative activities during your session, to make it easier for you to explain your situation.

You are the expert in your life and we can work together by sharing your experiences and find a way forward. I work daytime, evenings and weekends, why not take the first step forward to feeling better and get in touch, I am sure we can find a suitable time to connect.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
