About me

I am qualified Social Worker with extensive experience working with looked after children and foster carers. My role involves supporting and supervising foster carers to ensure the holistic needs of looked after children are actively being met. The fundamental reason why I started a career in social work was to support individuals on a one to one basis to achieve positive change however over the years and with the increase of paperwork, the opportunity to do this kind of work has become very limited. As a result, I completed a postgraduate diploma in integrative counselling and coaching. Alongside being a Social Worker, I am now a qualified Integrative Therapist and Coach specialising in one to one talking therapy.

I also offer personal consultancy. Personal consultancy is an attempt to provide a general framework for ‘one-to-one’ (or ‘helping by talking’) practices. in a nutshell, i combine coaching and counselling techniques to support you reach your desired goal

I have extensive experience working with both adults and children, both as a Social Worker and Therapist. I have experience working with a range of mental health issues and day to day issues that everyone experiences for example, feelings of 'stuck-ness', dissatisfaction, unfulfillment and anxiety. As an integrative therapist I have the understanding and knowledge of different modalities, I can use a wide range of interventions and techniques to support my clients. However, my style of working is heavily underpinned by the person-centred approach. I focus on developing a relationship with my client and creating a safe, non-judgemental space for clients to identify, discuss, explore and reflect on their issues, problems and desired goals. I identify that the client is an expert in their own needs and through listening, reflective conversation, questioning and collaborative planning my role is to assist the client through a journey of acceptance and change.

I will listen to you, offer support and use different interventions to help you reach your desired goal. Together we can work towards achieving positive change and for you to become the best version of you, whatever that might be.

I believe that taking small steps to achieve your desired goals, is better than taking no steps at all..

Change is the essence of life- are you willing to surrender what you are, for what you could become?

If you would like a space to talk, to share your worries, concerns or if you just need a place to offload, please feel free to contact me.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
