About me

Hello. My name is Nicky and I am a registered counsellor working with both adults and young people aged 12 and over.

People come to counselling for many reasons. You may have a specific issue you would like to work on, or you could feel stuck, anxious, depressed or generally overwhelmed. Maybe you do not know what is wrong, just that you feel that something is missing. The aim of counselling is to work together on what you would like to change in your life, enabling you to make sense of your experiences so that life can feel more manageable and fulfilling.

I am committed to supporting young people in building their resilience and self-esteem, promoting confidence and emotional wellbeing. Adolescence is a time of change. Often the opportunity to talk to someone outside of the family unit, where they can be heard and valued in a confidential space, can encourage healing and growth.

I offer a safe and reflective space which is free of judgement, providing you with the time and freedom to explore your thoughts and feelings.

Please feel free to telephone or email me to set up an initial session so that we can discuss what you are struggling with and what you would like to gain from counselling. This also gives you the opportunity to decide if you would like us to work together.

You can contact me on 07784 807595. If I am unable to speak to you at that time, please leave a message on the confidential voicemail and I will return your call. Alternatively you can email me. I will get back to you within 24 hours so we can arrange a convenient time to meet.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.
