About me

I am a qualified psychotherapist whose aim is to build trust, promote growth and inspire change within a secure therapeutic relationship. I work within both a short-term framework on immediate specific issues and in the longer term on more deep-seated emotional change. Some typical areas I work on in my practice include anxiety and overwhelm, relationship difficulties, stress in the workplace, surfing big life changes, bereavement, coping with illness, family relationship, parenting struggles, pregnancy and fertility, midlife, menopause loss, grief, and feeling 'stuck'.

I work on weekdays both during the day and in the evening in my practice in Walthamstow and offer both short and long term therapy.

I trained at the Bowlby Centre as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist. I have over seventeen years experience working in the world of counselling and psychotherapy and have helped many feel more content, secure and in control of their life. I have also spent many years working as a teacher on psychotherapy training courses in London and developing a training curricula for attachment-based psychotherapy. Prior to training as a psychotherapist I spent over ten years working in the FMCG industry identifying and applying consumer insight to brand strategy and communication.

Further information

If you think you might like someone to talk to, please do not hesitate to contact me on the number above. Please leave a contact telephone number so I can call you back. I look forward to hearing from you.

What can you expect when we first meet?

We will initially talk on the phone when I will take basic details about you. We will arrange a time and day for you to visit my practice for two 50-minute assessments one week apart. We will spend time discussing why you wish to be in therapy or counselling, your expectations of treatment, whether you have been in therapy before and a more general conversation about your life history. It is hoped from this will come a good understanding of your struggles and an early sense of whether we are right for each other. If this is the case then we will agree the timing of our sessions and take it from there. I work on a once-weekly basis as a minimum and see individuals twice or three times a week where necessary.

I also work online either exclusively or in hybrid between in person and online sessions to suit your requirements.

I offer both short term focussed therapy and long term open-ended therapy.

How to get here
I am very easy to reach on public transport. I live a short walk from Walthamstow Central and Walthamstow Queens Rd stations which offer fast, frequent links on the Underground, Overground and National Rail networks in addition to an excellent bus network in and out of Central London.
