Nicholas Watts Counselling Edinburgh
I'm Nick, I offer personal and couples therapy and am based in Granton Marina in North Edinburgh, i integrate person centred and psychodynamic concepts to help provide a meaning based therapy which i create with each of my clients.
I use Person Centred and Psychodynamic concepts as a ways towards understanding our pasts and emotions can act as catalysts for building new stories or realities for my clients. I often find it's not until people have gained the specific understanding of their own histories that they (or we) are able to move on to enjoy engaging and fulfilling lives. To be closer to the point, it when i see clients able to speak and feel their own experiences that i begin to see them taking charge of their own therapy and following on, leadership within how they live.
I am experienced working with adults of any age, gender, sexual orientation, self-identification or religion and upon a wide range of issues – addiction, depression, Sexual abuse, violent abuse, anxiety
I am a BACP Registered member and follows its ethical framework. I offer 50 minutes sessions to individuals and 60 minutes to couples, costing £35.00 and £50.00 respectively.
I offer some low cost spaces for students and low wage earners, these cost £20.00 and £15.00 respectively.
