About me

I am a qualified therapeutic counsellor, member of the BACP and an approved therapist for Anxiety Uk. I am a warm and friendly person with a humanistic approach and believe in nurturing the right environment for each individual to flourish. My sessions are tailored to suit your needs in a relaxed environment where you feel safe to explore any issues confidentially and make positive changes to your life.

I work with individuals, couples and companies from my home in Cheadle, Stockport either face to face or using the telephone or Skype.

My areas of experience include social anxiety, low self-esteem, worry, panic, stress, work related stress, relationship issues, infertility problems, health anxiety, critical incident debriefing, bereavement, confidence issues, claustrophobia, post traumatic stress, sexual abuse, domestic abuse, drug dependency, alcohol dependency, loneliness, compulsive hoarding, chronic fatigue syndrome, ME, fibromyalgia and trauma.

I have worked with many client groups including medical staff, people with drug and alcohol dependency, ex-offenders, looked after children, homeless people, college and university students, people retuning to work, Employee Assistance Programmes and the military. Sessions incorporate evidence based practice and I can explain the science behind common mental health issues. I am trained in Mindfulness, have a Management degree from Manchester University and comply with the BACP ethical code of practice. I have 3 grown up children and originate from the Stockport area.
