About me

I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist working within Warwickshire and the West Midlands. My knowledge and experience enables me to work effectively with clients presenting with many different issues; offering comprehensive assessment and treatment plans. I  have worked in a variety of settings, and have a special interest in addictions and also working with adolescents. I work with individuals, couples and group settings. I works with adults and adolescents.

My experience has shown that by offering a safe, confidential and professional environment, clients can work through and overcome their issues.

I am  a  registered member of the BACP, British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, and I adhere to their ethical guidelines. A copy of their guidelines is available for all clients, or can be viewed on their website, www.bacp.co.uk

In compliance with their guidelines I work with professional supervision, to ensure an ethical and safe practice.

Training, qualifications & experience

In addition to over 10 years in  private practice, I have worked in an addictions rehabilitation centre, dealing with a wide range of addictions. I have also has worked in the voluntary sector, working with clients who are dealing with physical, mental and sexual abuse.

I have studied counselling and psychotherapy up to Masters level, and am due to embark on a Doctorate programme.  I have lectured on various counselling and psychotherapy degree programmes.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
