Nichola Dunn MSc, B.A. (Hons), Dip Psych, Dip Hyp, MBACP
Nichola is a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist working within Warwickshire and the West Midlands. Her knowledge and experience enables her to work effectively with clients presenting with many different issues; offering comprehensive assessment and treatment plans. She has worked in a variety of settings, and has a special interest in addictions and also working with adolescents. Nichola works with individuals, couples and group settings. She works with adults and adolescents.
Nichola is currently setting up group therapy with families and friends of people suffering with addictions.
Nichola’s experience has proved that by offering a safe, confidential and professional environment, clients can work through and overcome their issues. Nichola has witnessed successful outcomes even with the most severe cases of abuse and trauma.
Nichola is a member of the BACP, British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, and adheres to their ethical guidelines. A copy of their guidelines is available for all clients, or can be viewed on their website, www.bacp.co.uk

Training, qualifications & experience
In addition to her private practice, Nichola has worked in an addictions rehabilitation centre, dealing with a wide range of addictions including marijuana, heroin, crack, cocaine, gambling and others. She also has worked in a number of different centres treating clients who are dealing with physical, mental and sexual abuse.
Nichola has studied counselling and psychotherapy up to Masters level, and is due to embark on a Doctorate programme. Nichola is currently lecturing, part time, at University on a Counselling and Psychotherapy Degree. Nichola also lectures at Warwickshire college on various counselling degrees.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
