About me

My name is Natashe Connor and I am a MBACP,  Counsellor and Psychotherapist with experience of working with individuals in many different settings.  I offer short term or longer-term Counselling/Psychotherapy to individuals.

I currently work in person at two locations, and via telephone or online via Zoom for those who might prefer this during the uncertain times we are living in.

Counselling and Psychotherapy  can help when you are facing difficulties and challenges in your life.  I provide a safe, non-judgemental, supportive and engaging space.   By working together, at your pace, I will invite you to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences to help you gain some understanding and awareness.

I have worked extensively with people dealing with anxiety, low self-esteem, loss, and bereavement.  I also work with family/relationship issues, depression, work issues, job or life changes or just a general feeling of being sad.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • HE Diploma - Counselling & Psychotherapy
  • HE Certificate - Counselling and Interpersonal Skills
  • Certified Counsellor for Online and Telephone Counselling
  • Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP)
  • Grief and Loss
  • Safeguarding for adults Level 3
  • Safeguarding for children Level 3

Alongside my private practice, my experience also includes working for charitable organisations and I am currently also involved in a project working with those bereaved and affected by COVID 19.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
