I am a qualified counselling practitioner, based in Hertfordshire who has valuable experience working within a variety of different voluntary agencies, schools and colleges.
My experience to date (but not limited to) includes; bereavement, anxiety, depression, management of stress, relationship issues, suicidal ideation and school refusal.
I am able to draw on different skills and knowledge in order to work with a range of issues experienced in daily life. I am trained to help you move forward positively whether you are experiencing emotional difficulties, bereavement or other.
I consider myself to be a Person Centred Practitioner and the support I aim to offer is tailored to your specific and very individual needs in order to foster positive engagement of the therapeutic process.
The framework I use is interchangeable; beneath the theory and rationale of how we present ourselves as counsellors, the most vital component to therapy is the relationship and the human connection between yourself (the client) and myself (the counsellor).
Fundamentally this is how I begin every new therapeutic relationship; and this has been the key thread throughout my training and experience thereafter.
I believe we are all born with the possibility to achieve no matter how great or small. Therefore we will aim to forge a therapeutic relationship with substance and integrity that enables you to explore that potential and support you in your commitment to personal growth.
