About me

I offer a safe, friendly environment where you are treated with respect, empathy and confidentiality. I aim to tailor the therapy to your individual needs and work in an encouraging and collaborative way.

You may feel hesitant or nervous about asking for help and taking that first step is a courageous one. Many people find that therapy provides huge benefits, including a deeper self-awareness and greater contentment in life and relationships.

I have a Diploma in Individual Psychology which follows the work of Alfred Adler, a humanistic psychologist and a contemporary of Freud. Adler saw people as social beings, driven by a need to belong and connect.

You are the expert on you and together we can gain insights into your patterns of behaviour, thoughts and feelings. I am optimistic and aim to encourage you to work towards your goals. I strongly believe that things can be different.

Training, qualifications & experience

During training I worked as a counsellor in a secondary school for 2 years and also at a Counselling Centre, where I continue to practice.

I am an Individual member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and am committed to the principles of the Ethical Framework for Good Practice.  It is a requirement of BACP membership that I undertake continuing professional development (CPD) to ensure that my practice is reflective and my skills are kept up to date.
