About me

Hello, I'm Nat. Welcome...

It takes a lot of courage to ask for help and to start counselling. I've been on this journey myself so I know how hard it can be to take the leap. It's so important to find someone right for you. Someone who gives you the respect, empathy, acceptance and genuine care you deserve. This is something I strive to offer each client I work with. Hopefully this will make things less daunting and allow you to feel safe enough to share what is troubling you.

A bit about me...

I'm an experienced Person Centred Counsellor. I've worked with a wide range of clients with issues such as:

* Depression

* Stress

* Trauma

* Bereavement

* Loss

* Abuse

* Bullying

* Low self esteem

* Relationship difficulties

* Infertility

* Miscarriage

* Loneliness

* Career direction

* Health concerns

* Victims of crime

* Families of offenders

* Carer support

I am also a Lecturer in Counselling and facilitate groups of offenders, helping them to overcome problems in their lives and work towards rehabilitation.

The Counselling approach I use is Person Centred Therapy (PCT). This is non advice giving which means that I won't tell you what to do, but will work with you to help you find your own answers. Sometimes I offer the use of creativity in sessions, if it feels appropriate. Creativity can help people tap into feelings and be extremely healing. This isn't for everyone though and that's ok too.

Overall, I aim to create a secure and trusting environment where you can be fully yourself without judgement.

How I work...

Please email me to arrange a free initial meeting. This gives you the chance to see if I'm the right counsellor for you. We can also talk about what to expect, what you hope to get from counselling and schedule a weekly appointment.
