Training, qualifications & experience
My approach is integrative, which means that I will use different approaches, theories and tools that suit my clients' needs. I use the Person-Centred approach when I feel my clients need to lead the way and provide them with empathetic, non-judgemental and warm space with unconditional positive regards. I also use Attachment theory where it is beneficial to build a stronger bond between partners and to look back at the impact of their childhood on their current relationships. Or Cognitive Behaviour Therapy to help clients develop alternative ways of thinking and behaving to reduce psychological distress and to change negative thoughts or beliefs into positive ones. I use different communication tools and techniques to improve couples communications and support them to overcome their issues.
