"There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you." Maya Angelou
I am a trained and qualified person centred counsellor based in Comrie, Perthshire. I have worked for many years in the charity sector, supporting families and individuals in different contexts, including those with additional support needs.
People come to counselling for many different reasons. I believe that it is by being heard and accepted in a real way that we can begin to make sense in our own minds and find ways of coping with distress.
I hope to provide clients with a safe, confidential space in which to be heard and accepted as you are. I do not have a magic wand or all the answers and I truly believe that only you can be the expert on your own life. However, I hope that by providing empathy, honesty and acceptance that we can journey together to help you find the answers you are looking for.
In doing this I hope to help you make the changes you wish to make in order to live the life you want. I know that taking the first step towards change can be scary, but I hope that by taking that step together can make it feel easier.
I am a member of BACP and work to their ethical framework.
