About me

Hi, I am Nancy

I am fully qualified counsellor and member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)

I also work with clients in life coaching.

I understand we are all unique individuals. This is why I trained integratively and practice as an integrative Counsellor, pulling in the different theories I studied to meet each clients needs.

These include - TRANSACTIONAL ANALYSIS Which is a form of moden Psychology that examines a person's relationships and interactions.

PERSON CENTRED Which is a humanistic approach that deals with the ways in which individuals perceive themselves consciously rather than how a counsellor can interpret their unconscious thoughts or ideas.

COGNITIVE BEHAVIOURAL THERAPY (CBT) which is a talking therapy that can help you manage your problems by changing the way you think and behave. It's most commonly used to treat anxiety and depression.

By using and blending these therioes I am able to offer the best approach for each client.

I am based in Rainham, Essex, but I can travel if need to.

I offer short term therapy (up to 8 sessions) and am also available for long term therapy. Each session lasts for 50 minutes and can be weekly or fortnightly depending on each clients needs.

All sessions are confidential, with the exception to serious criminal activity, serious harm to self or harm to others. Each client is also protected by the Data Protection Act.

I can offer weekday appointments from 9am - 3pm Evening and weekend sessions available on request.

I am more than happy to answer any questions you may have, so please contact me for more information either by email, text message or phone call.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.
