Dr Nakita C. O'Leary BSc(Hons), DClinPsy, HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist.
Willow Herbal Centre
2 The Drive
I am a Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) registered Clinical Psychologist offering high quality counselling and psychological therapy to children, adults and families, in person, via telephone and via Zoom (secure and confidential video calling software). My mission is to help make psychology more accessible for everyone by offering my services at a very reasonable price and in a flexible manner.
I am committed to providing evidence-based solutions to problems that you or someone you know might be troubled with. These include:
- Assessment, formulation and tailored therapy for children, adults, couples and families experiencing problems with their mental health.
- The problems I can help you with include, but are not limited to: stress, low mood, depression, general anxiety, anxiety disorders including phobias, unusual experiences, behavioural problems, relationship problems and learning disabilities/difficulties.
How counselling and therapy can help you
Talking about our problems is often the first step toward overcoming them. When we work together I will listen intensely and without judgement to what it is you have been experiencing. I will then use my psychological skills and knowledge to guide our conversations in a way that will help us make sense of what is going on for you. Once we have a clear and mutual understanding of where the problem is coming from, what is making it worse and what stops it from getting better, we will think together about the things we can do to start to overcome the problem. Our therapeutic work together will help you to feel better and make positive changes in your life. The more committed you are to counselling and therapy, the more you will benefit from it.
I also offer personalised life coaching for individuals. This includes:
- Enhancing a person's life experience with the use of positive psychology, leading to more fulfilling and meaningful lives.
How personalised life coaching can help you
If you have a particular goal or goals that you want to achieve, this can be made more achievable with the support of a life coach. Your goal or goals can be related to your personal life, work, career, family, friends, romantic relationships, hobbies, travel, recreation, confidence, facing fears and so on. We will work together to ensure that all the necessary measures of goal attainment are put into place, as well as challenge and change any limiting beliefs you have that have been holding you back from achieving such goals. This approach will give you the confidence to utilise your own skills to achieve what you want in life and ensure that you're are making the most of your abilities, skills and time.
What to expect in your first session
If my services may be of interest to you, I ask that you contact me by email to arrange an initial free telephone consultation, where we can discuss how we might best work together. If during this consultation we do decide to work together, your first session will be a chance for us to discuss in more detail what has been going on for you and how you have been feeling. You can chose whether you would prefer this appointment to be face to face, over the telephone or via Zoom. I will tell you more about myself and what I do and you will have the opportunity to ask any further questions you have about me, the way I work and about counselling, therapy and personalised life coaching. If at any time we decide not to work together because we think that another type of service or counsellor might be more appropriate for you, I will endeavour to help you access such as service and/or individual in a timely manner. All enquiries will be treated confidentially and responded to promptly.
Where I practice
If you choose to have counselling and therapy or life coaching with me face to face, I will ask you to meet me at one of the various locations I practice from in East London and Essex. We can choose a location that suits you best. Currently my main place of practice is at:

Alternatively, if you decide to have your sessions over the phone or via Zoom, I will call you at our prearranged appointment time. I ask that you take the call in a private and quiet place, free from distractions.
If you have any further questions you would like answered before committing to arranging our initial free telephone conversation, please do not hesitate to send them to me via email. I will happily respond with the further information you might need.
