My name is Naima and I’m an integrative psychotherapist and a relationship counsellor.
Life is full of transitions, hardships and ups-and downs. Sometimes the distress, pain, or isolation is too intense for us to face alone. The journey seems too long and the destination unreachable. Or it could be that you’re just feeling stuck in a rut. Psychotherapy is a gift to yourself to help you overcome life’s challenges. On that journey to healing, I will be your companion.
My philosophical orientation has its roots in person-centred theory. I believe that you have within yourself the resources for growth and emotional wellbeing. I intend to provide you with an approach that empowers you. I’ll help you establish goals and work towards them.
I will strive to understand both how you see the world, and the significance and impact of your current challenges. The place I am offering you is safe, confidential and non-judgmental.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have substantial experience in working around women's issues and the abuse they may face. This includes sexual, physical and emotional abuse. With my clients, we work around the aftermath of their traumatic experience.
While my background is predominantly in supporting women, I also offer therapy to male clients.
I also have experience in working with depression and anxiety-related conditions.
Prior to my training in Integrative Psychotherapy, I trained as a Couple Counsellor. I welcome unhappy couples in my practice.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
Areas of counselling I deal with
Individual counselling: £60/Session of 50min
Couple Counselling: £85/Session of 50min
To get started, contact me either by email or by leaving a voice message. I will aim to get back to you within 24hours.
We'll arrange a first session in which you can tell me what's brought you to therapy and I will give you details on how I work. Following that first session, you can decide if you want to continue with me, and we'll agree on a fixed day and time, and frequency of sessions.
I offer both short and long term counselling and psychotherapy.
