Nadiya Paton MBACP
About me
During this challenging time I offer face to face socially distanced Walk & Talk sessions, or online video sessions. I also offer reduced fee sessions for those impacted by COVID related loss.
I am a qualified counsellor and member of the BACP who specialises in:
- Online video counselling via Zoom, Skype, WhatsApp, etc. at a day/time that suits you
- 'Walk & Talk': Woodland walk counselling sessions (Battle, East Sussex)
- Trained bereavement counsellor
- Experienced counselling foreign nationals living in the UK
I offer an initial free 20-minute consultation where I will discuss with you your presenting worries, and what you are looking for in counselling.
We will also make an agreement about the duration, time and dates of our sessions.
The Importance of Choosing the Right Therapist:
Feeling safe is a necessary condition for you to confront your fears, anxieties and worries. It is fundamental to the outcome of therapy that you feel safe and heard.
I provide a non-judgmental and confidential person-centred environment, where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviour and their impact on your life – past, present and future.
No one can change the events of the past but I believe the road to recovery lies with increasing your self-awareness, re-establishing the relationship with your body and mind without feeling overwhelmed or ashamed.
I can help you with this by utilising a wide range of methods as no one method fits for all. My way of working reflects the idea of ‘Walking beside you’ while you take me on your journey through your life and its challenges and struggles.
I believe that therapy is a collaborative process – a mutual exploration of yourself in a safe and confidential environment.

• Person Centred Therapy
• Transactional Analysis
• Gestalt Therapy
• Attachment Theory
• Egan
• Solution Focused Therapy

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
