I am a BACP Counsellor, Clinical Hypnotherapist, Psychoanalyst Psychotherapist, Life & Executive Coach and (PTSD) EMDR Therapist. I am fully CRB checked and fully insured. I am a Registered Member of the BACP (Registered MBACP), a Fellow of ILM (FInsLM), a registered member of CNHC and a member of the EMDR Association [which is the approved method of treatment for the management of Trauma (and Depression) by NICE]. I have over 12 years experience and expertise within these fields.
My special interests include Trauma, long term illness and disease and oncology (Cancer). I am a member of SIG (Significant Interest Group) in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing) which is a UK, Ireland and Europe members only forum for open discussion among fellow EMDR Professionals on various topics of interest relating to EMDR. There are over 150 members in the SIG. I am also a member of SIG in EMDR & Spirituality as well as SIG in Eating Disorders. These groups give me access to the latest developments and protocols in EMDR Therapy.
I initially commenced my training in Psychology and I use methods and models drawn from the science of Psychology in my work. Following on from that, I trained as a Psychoanalyst and use Sigmund Freud's Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in my work which means I place huge emphasis on the importance of unconscious and subconscious in the way our powerful mind works.
My Clinic is Billericay, Essex, where there is ample free parking and it is Covid-secure.
My specialism, in addition to the above, is Severe Anxiety and Depression (including Suicide and Self harm). The main reason is due to the fact that I myself suffered badly with my mental health when my 5 year old daughter was diagnosed with Cancer, Leukaemia, (a few years ago). In addition, I specialise in Couple / Family Therapy helping families avoid the awfulness my family and I had to endure. In essence, I help families understand the effects and affects of Mental Health illness and help guide them through it. I work with Adults, Adolescents and Children of all ages and all ethnicities. Specifically, I work with Children and Adults with ADHD and ASD (my daughter and I are on the ADHD Spectrum).
I offer CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), TA (Transactional Analysis) Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Short Term and Long Term Therapy, Talk Therapy, Emotional Therapy, Grief & Loss / Bereavement Therapy, Couple Counselling (Marriage Counselling), Cheating and Betrayal, Family Therapy, Children and Adolescent Therapy and Adult Counselling; Family and Relationship Issues Counselling (to name but a few).
As mentioned, my Specialism is in Mild to Severe Anxiety and Depression; Panic Disorders & Panic Attacks; Generalised Anxiety Disorder; Low Self Esteem/self worth and Low Self Confidence issues; Phobias; Suicidal Thoughts; PTSD Post Traumatic Stress Disorder; Cross Cultural Relationships; Work Related Stress; Bereavement and Loss Counselling; and Help with Self Harming; managing Borderline Personality Disorder; Family issues, Feeling Sad (seasonal disorder), Affairs and Betrayal, Separation and Divorce, Postnatal Depression (PND) and Bipolar Disorder and Eating Disorders (specifically Anorexia and Bulimia).
I work with NHS Doctors and Nurses on the frontline dealing with Covid-19 / Coronavirus pandemic (offering EMDR Therapy and/or Counselling).
I offer F2F / One2One Counselling, Telephone Counselling, and FaceTime Counselling. I offer a calm, relaxed, safe and non-judgmental setting (Clinic) for clients to explore their issues whatever they may be. All sessions are strictly confidential and non-judgmental.
As an experienced and professional Therapist (whether it is Counselling, Hypnotherapy, Coaching or EMDR), my approach to therapy is holistic in nature exploring cognitive, emotional, cultural and environmental elements of a client’s life. My intention at all times is to provide a safe, confidential, non-judgemental, comfortable, calming, relaxing and tranquil space for my clients to explore any issues affecting them. Although I do not give advice, I explore what is best for my client. As a Counsellor, Hypnotherapist, Coach, EMDR Therapist I believe that where necessary emotional issues can be best explored and challenged by using elements of counselling, hypnotherapy, EMDR and/or coaching combined.
My clients include; business professionals and business owners; families suffering the effects of Depression and Anxiety issues, and ADHD & ASD issues; young adolescents battling with sexuality issues; women suffering postnatal depression as well as domestic abuse and nurses and GPs suffering with Anxiety and Depression as a result of the huge pressures of working within the NHS; as well as Firefighters & Police Officers. My clients are of all ethnicities, backgrounds, ages and sexualities.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
