About me

Hello, I'm Nadia, an experienced counsellor offering therapy in Winchester and online. If you're looking for counselling it's likely that you want something to change in your life, and I'm here to support you to achieve this. I offer a safe, confidential space for people who are suffering with a range of issues including anxiety, stress, depression, identity and sexuality, self-esteem, family issues, bereavement and past trauma.

Together we will explore your goals and how best to achieve them. I use a variety of techniques from different specialisms that have proven to be incredibly beneficial in supporting people to create positive, lasting change.  I have significant experience with anxiety, including generalised anxiety disorder, social anxiety and panic attacks, and I offer tools to bring a renewed sense of calm and self-acceptance.

I come from a mixed heritage background and I promote equality and inclusion in all that I do. I welcome people from all spectrums of life, including different cultures, neurodiversity and LGBTQ+. I have several years' experience in private practice and with counselling charities, supporting young people and adults. I'm a qualified Humanistic counsellor and I take part in regular training and supervision to further enhance my practice.

Alongside counselling, my career in organisational development and change management has given me a real insight into how people respond to changes in our environment, and how we can often feel like we have no control in a fast-paced world where change is the norm. The skills I've gained in large-scale cultural and organisational change translate well into the world of therapy and individual change. I can help you to get clear on what your needs are, how to get those needs met in healthy ways, and how to set boundaries to enable you to feel more in control of your life.

We all need more support in our lives from time to time. Contact me to see how I can help.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
