About me
I can offer face-to-face, telephone, Zoom or Face Time appointments.
Working therapeutically with children, young people and adults, I have over 20 years experience supporting families within the Education and Charity Sector. I enjoy private practice, offering Person-Centred Counselling. According to person-centred counselling, all individuals have within themselves the capacity to grow and reach their potential, however, sometimes external factors can get in the way.
I will form a therapeutic relationship with you and will not judge you. As an Individual Member of the BACP, I, at all times, abide by The Code of Ethical Practice for Counselling Professions. I am confident that the therapeutic relationship heals and empowers clients.
Usually meeting weekly with clients at my private practice in Bearsden, each therapeutic session lasts for 50 minutes.
A Welcome Space offers you a safe environment where you are able to explore issues.
I have a special interest in supporting clients with bereavement, change and loss. A different area of interest is couple counselling.
With my extensive training and qualifications to date combined with substantial experience, I am confident working with a range of issues including but not limited to: anxiety, depression, anger, addiction, relationships, bereavement, self-esteem, bullying, health, family, divorce, childhood memories, confidence, and infidelity. The counselling offered is not limited to a specific issue. You will be supported with whatever you choose to bring to the session.
Couples Counselling is also offered at a fee of £80 per session.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
