About me

Hello and Welcome,

I'm here to provide personalized therapy service dedicated to your personal growth and empowerment. Whether online or face-to-face in London.

While we can't change the past, control the present or predict the future; therapy becomes a powerful tool empowering you to make positive choices, make sense and explore your experiences freely. Opting for therapy is an act of great courage—a commitment to self-care and self-discovery, paving the way for a brighter future.

I offer a warmth, open safe and professional environment without fear of judgment  for you freely share your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Using an integrative therapeutic style, we'll navigate your challenges at a pace comfortable for you, unravelling complexities and build self-awareness through reflection. In our collaborative alliance, you are an equal partner with the acknowledgement that you are the expertise in your own life.

Our journey involves developing a stronger sense of self, gaining fresh perspectives, and boosting confidence and self-trust. With my support, you can establish positive, lasting ways to feel content and fulfilled while effectively coping with your emotional  challenges.

I look forward to accompanying you on this path of self-discovery and growth.

Training, qualifications & experience

With over two decades of committed work as an educator and therapist, I've had the privilege of collaborating with a diverse range of children, adolescents, and adults. My practice is integrative, anchored in a humanistic model, and I frequently integrate Art Psychotherapy. This distinctive modality taps into the potency of artmaking as a primary form of communication, establishing a secure and expressive space for self-awareness. Through this creative process, individuals can delve deeper into their emotions, thoughts, and experiences.

The Integrative Approach I employ ensures a customized and adaptable therapy experience that is specifically tailored to address your unique needs and concerns. Whether you're seeking short-term solutions or a more extended therapeutic journey, I am here to support you.

Beyond my private practice, my commitment to mental health extends to involvement with a psychosis charity and a women's support group, as well as working closely with senior adults. Currently, I serve as a School Project Manager for a national charity, providing crucial emotional support within educational settings. Additionally, my role as a foster carer adds another layer to my diverse experiences.

Additionally I have also served as the coordinator of the British Association of Art Therapists' (BAAT) ARC, an Art Therapy race and culture group. As well as worked as counselling tutor in adult education.

Member organisations

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

Other areas of counselling I deal with

I have a deep understanding and interest in cultural diversity, particularly the impact of social identity, culture, language, and power dynamics on psychological well-being and personal growth. As both an educator and therapist, I am hugely committed to exploring how cultural values shape our mental health experiences within Western society.
