About us

Welcome – I’m Marcella

I’m glad you’re here. Finding the right support can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to figure it out alone.

I’m an integrative counsellor, which means I tailor my approach to you. No two people are the same, so I draw from different techniques depending on what works best for you. At the heart of my practice is Person-Centred Therapy, ensuring our work is shaped by your needs, at your pace.

Why I Became a Counsellor

Before training as a counsellor, I spent years in HR, training, and mediation—roles that always came back to one thing: supporting people. No matter the situation, I found that what people really needed was someone to listen, without judgment, and help them make sense of things. That’s why I do what I do now—because I know how powerful it is to have that space to talk, reflect, and grow.

How I Work

Our sessions are a safe, welcoming space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings openly. My approach is flexible and tailored to your unique needs. Whether you're looking for practical support for a specific issue or want to explore personal growth, I’m here to walk alongside you every step of the way.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
