“Don’t struggle alone”
Life can be overwhelming and life can be lonely. Even those of us surrounded by people can feel, at times desperately alone.
We may feel that we cannot share our worries even with those closest to us in order to protect ourselves and those that we love.
Let me help. My aim is to offer a safe, welcoming and confidential environment in which your thoughts and feelings can be explored and worked through.
In therapy as in other walks of life, one size does not fit all, I work from a person-centred integrative approach where the focus of each session is driven by you. Elements from the three main schools of therapy will be used – humanistic, psychodynamic and CBT, these enable us to consider your current state of mind, elements from the past that may have influenced you and the development of coping strategies for the future.
The relationship between you and your therapist is at the very heart of successful therapy, so it’s important that you choose someone who is right for you, someone that you feel you can relate to and can engage with, with this in mind I offer a free initial assessment appointment in which you are able to consider whether I am the right therapist for you.

I feel passionately about therapy and the difference it can make to lives. No one should need to struggle alone.
I run my practice from within Maple Surgery, Bar Hill where I see a mix of private patients and GP referrals (Adults 18+ only), working with a wide range of issues including but not limited to, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, loss and grief.
Working from within the surgery allows me access to a wider team of professionals from which advice and support can be sought. (ALL client work is confidential).
I am an individual member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their ethical framework.
In addition to gaining a diploma in counselling practice, I have trained with CRUSE bereavement care, have experience in providing in-house support for companies whose employees are faced with redundancy and have volunteered as a support worker within a community mental health team.
I hold professional liability insurance and an enhanced DBS certificate and undertake a minimum of monthly supervision.
I take my training seriously and am continuously seeking to expand my knowledge and understanding, most recently I have completed a course with Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT) in peer support work.
