About me

www. Please take a look at my website for more information

"Monique is a warm, friendly and intuitive therapist. Her style is gentle but also very pragmatic, which suited me down to the ground. She provided me with space and kindness in a non-judgemental atmosphere to work through my problems.

Her listening skills are excellent and this really helps her to get to the heart of the matter and tackle issues that may have been missed or skirted over by the client. I left the end of the sessions (for the first time in my life), feeling that I had properly found the crux of much of my anxiety AND how to deal with it.

Talking with Monique felt like I was in safe hands with a consumate professional, but at the same time, we even managed to have a good laugh at life together. I would not hesitate to recommend this fantastic woman to anyone who wanted good value for money in a warm and nurturing atmosphere, with someone who really does know what they are doing."

I am a friendly and empathic qualified counsellor and registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their ethical framework. This means that your well being is my prime concern whilst we are engaging in a therapeutic relationship. I will to the best of my ability offer you an environment where you feel safe, acknowledged and understood and everything we discuss is confidential.

I offer Counselling and Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) which has shown to been very effective for those experiencing stress, anxiety and depression.

Types of anxiety may include chronic worry, fear of anxiety and panic attacks, obsessive compulsive disorder(OCD), social anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and phobias. If you feel you do not fit into any of these catergories and would still like some help with anxiety please call for a chat to see if CBT would be helpful for you.

Walk Talk Therapy

This is simply walking at your pace in a beautiful environment whilst experienceing counselling. It is proven that walking in nature naturally raises our mood and can reduce stress and anxiety as well as increasing the serotonin hormone that makes us naturally feel happier. If this idea appeals to you I am flexible on times and days and may even be able to cater for early mornings. The first session we would meet in a traditional setting so that we would have an opportunity to meet and talk about how this would work. Then from that we would meet at an agreed time and begin the Walk Talk therapy.

If you feel you would like to know more about how counselling, CBT or Walk Talk therapy could be helpful for you. Please give me a call on 07840 283 180.
