About me
Are you experiencing overwhelm, overstimulation and/or feelings of hopelessness?
I offer a calm, empathetic space that aims to foster acceptance and understanding. Building on this foundation, I aim to teach you how to process difficult emotions, manage challenging situations and find the inner drive needed to create a fulfilling life.
You may want to tackle anxious beliefs and assumptions, reduce panic responses, create and maintain positive habits, learn how to better emotionally regulate and/or improve relationships.
Increasing self-awareness is the first step to discovering and maximising your potential. I will teach you the tools you need to create a life where you thrive instead of just survive.
Practice Description
I use cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to teach emotional regulation skills, uncover motivations, modify unhelpful thoughts and behaviours. Together we work to cultivate a bespoke therapy plan that feels authentic to you.
Session Structure
Sessions are collaborative and client-centred. I offer a 30 minute initial telephone consultation where we informally discuss what’s going on for you. This is followed by a more formal assessment in the first session which allows us to tailor a bespoke treatment plan.

Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a BSc honours degree and FdSc degree in counselling and psychotherapy, specialising in CBT. I also hold counselling certificates within the person-centred approach. A special area of interest of mine is 'third-wave CBT' that incorporates Eastern traditions such as mindfulness, yoga and breathwork alongside traditional CBT methods.
I believe in acceptance over avoidance and hope to encourage clients to work with, instead of fighting against, natural and adaptive processes such as depression and anxiety.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
