Hi there and welcome,
My name is Mona, a qualified counsellor based in the UK and a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
They way I choose to work is through a Person Centred lens, which in its basic form means that I will be following your lead. Our work together will involve a therapeutic conversation. You can bring anything to the session that is on your mind and we will talk through it together and see where it takes us. You can either come prepared with a situation in mind, or choose to see how you feel in the moment and express those feelings.
The work we do together will be at your own pace. My style of working is non-directive and the focus is on your needs rather than on finding a solution. There are some guidelines in place in order to make our work together safe, but beyond that you are free to explore whatever it is you need to in that moment, or if you need silence that is welcome too. There is no pressure to perform or behave or be a certain way, you are enough as you are.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
