I undertake private practice as a Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Supervisor. I also work as a Counsellor in the NHS. I am experienced at working with both long term and short term with clients. I also offer EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services to a variety of organisations. I am an EMDR Accredited therapist. This therapiy is very effective on working with trauma.
As a Person-Centred Counsellor, I will strive to offer you a professional, secure, confidential and safe environment in which to explore and develop your inner self, as well as aid your personal growth and self awareness. I will accompany you on a journey of inner exploration, self awareness, self acceptance and growth.
Counselling is a safe place to bring difficult issues and feelings of any kind. It can therefore, sometimes, be an uncomfortable experience. However the counselling relationship enables you to process such difficulties, to discover healing and/or resolution and also to obtain a deeper understanding and acceptance of yourself.
The Counselling relationship is confidential. This is so that it can be safe for you to explore anything that you may wish. I am also registered with the data protection agency.

Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
