Miranda Weller- BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and Supervisor
BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and BABCP accredited supervisor.
Hello, my name is Miranda, I use a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy approach (CBT) to help with anxiety disorders, depression and mental health problems which are causing distress.
Anxiety and depression can be disabling and change your life but it doesn't have to be forever. Single life events or events that happen in quick succession are, at times, difficult to process but there can be a way through it. Sometimes, it just feels that another person, independant from those around you, may be able to help you work through difficulties.
I have a background in nursing before I went into Psychology, studying a Masters degree in Cognitive Psychotherapy which led to my CBT accreditation 12 years ago.
Please feel free to contact me if you are feeling a bit nervous about approaching therapy and just want to enquire without making a commitment.
Additionally, I have worked with older adults who may be experiencing memory loss and impairment, this can be a very stressful time for the sufferer and for those caring for them, friends and family. My working life experience with this age group gives me a deeper understanding of the difficulties and joys that older age can bring.
I also teach Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy in groups or individually.
Shortly after I was accredited with BABCP as a CBT practitioner I was accredited as a supervisor, supervising medical staff, Clinical Psychologists, Counselling Psychologists and CBT practitioners within the NHS and privately.
Supervision can be offered as a group or individually.
BABCP reports included.
CTS-R as required.
