About me

I am Miranda Lo, MCouns, BSc (Psych) (Hons.), MBACP (registered Counsellor with BACP), Life Coach (certified MAP Method™ Practitioner), Hypnotherapist, and registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance (RYT500 & RPYT).

MY COUNSELLING APPROACH: I work with an Integrative Therapeutic and Coaching Approach to assist people in connecting deeper with their trueness alongside the ever-moving current of life, and to eventually find their ultimate meaning in life... Enjoy life to its fullness...

I am inspired to journey the Path with YOU on Self-exploration and thus having YOUR potential unleashed. Many years ago, I sought to have my potential in life unleashed. I asked my teachers/mentors. Years gone by, I noticed that this teacher/mentor has been within me, being with me. Therefore, we are our own mentor whom actively assists in the process of unleashing the potential and well-being within us.

Throughout these years of experience on working on myself, I feel grateful in collaboratively assisting YOU in revealing the teacher/mentor within Your Self, and thus having YOUR potential unleashed FULLY, be it in your life journey, career development, parenting stage, as well as your children’s development. I look forward to serving YOU, ONLINE in East Kilbride, Glasgow, UK.

MY EXPERIENCE & PRACTICE: Having worked in the commercial sector for many years, I understand what it feels like when encountering emotional issues and stress in life. I embarked on a journey of self-exploration and yoga practice which has allowed me to feel, see and find my own potential, as well as what I am passionate about in life.

I am currently offering my practice via ONLINE in East Kilbride, Glasgow, UK. I offer a variety of counselling, life coaching and therapy sessions, as well as yoga course in ENGLISH, CANTONESE and MANDARIN.

I have worked with adults and couples with various concerns, including social anxiety, performance anxiety, self-esteem issues, finding self-identity and meaning in life (self-exploration), career guidance and vocational transformation, depression, bereavement, panic attack, anxiety, fixed core belief, nightmares, communication issues within relationship, self-harming, binge eating, issues of Borderline Personality Disorder, long-term therapy support, dual diagnosis, alcohol and substance abuse, and anger management.

I participate in continual professional training regularly to keep my practice up-to-date in serving the various concerns of my clients.

HOW YOU WILL BENEFIT FROM MY SERVICES... I work with an evidence-based & Integrative Therapeutic Approach - applying benefits from various modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Approach, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Person-Centred Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Solution Focused Brief Therapy, etc, to cater for different concerns, be it stress, mood issues, grief, phobia, panic attack, esteem and/or relationship issues. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
