About me

I am an Accredited counsellor and offer both short term or longer term counselling working with Individual Adults, and Trainee Counsellors across the UK. I have experience of supporting people with a wide range of mental health problems and difficulties. I offer counselling support to help you to clarify what’s not working in your life and help you to find new ways to move forward by  bringing insight, clarity, focus and peace into your world.

I offer weekly sessions for 50 minutes duration and offer one to one sessions via telephone sessions and/or online designed to suit your needs.

Initially, I will meet you either online or via the telephone for an initial assessment so that we can get to know each other better and for me understand your specific needs. The initial meeting will help you to decide if you would like me to be your counsellor and for you to ask any questions that you may have and there is absolutely no obligation for you to commit any further at this point.

I fully appreciate how difficult it can be to take that first step to reach out for help and hope that I can support you on your journey to make a positive change in your life.

I fully respect your confidentiality and am open to discuss your mental health issues in a fully confidential, safe, non judgmental and supportive environment.

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
