About me

"I strongly believe that modern life is very stressful.  My aim is to help you overcome your difficulties, try to make everything better for you and bring a little sunshine into our life.  I am here to listen, understand and care.  Appointments available.

At the Listening Tree I provide affordable counselling to local people, either on a 1-2-1 basis or telephone counselling.

I also provide home visits to people who are not able to leave their homes. I am an Integrative trained Counsellor and Psychotherapist with an Advanced Professional Diploma. I am also a Hypnotherapist.

My surgery runs on a Monday to Friday from 6.30pm to 9.00pm and on Saturday from 8.00am to 2.00pm. I offer a free 30 minute consultation.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a Degree in Applied Social Science from Kingston University and I am an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist with an Advanced Professional Diploma in Psychotheraputic Counselling.

I have worked in a Corporate Environment for many years and have supported many individuals with their lifes problems.

I am also a Hypnotherapist with an accredited Diploma and I have also studied Emotional Freedom Technique with AMMETT. I volunteered with Cruse Bereavement service and hold over 120 hours of Bereavement Counselling experience.

My aim is to help local people with affordable counselling, if your suffering from depression, stress, anxiety, relationship issues, bereavement, self confidence, anger issues, marriage problems.  I am here to listen and not judge  If you are unemployed, on benefits, an OAP or a student, then my rates are significantly reduced.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.


British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Between £25.00 to £40.00 per hour and £10.00 an hour for people on benefits, students and OAP's.  £15.00 - £25.00 per hour for skype and online counselling depending on status.

Further information

I specialise in anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationship difficulties and bereavement. I have also worked with individuals who have self-harmed and suffered abuse.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.
