About me

My name is Michelle, and as a qualified counsellor with over 16 years of experience, we will work together to build your better future. I can help my clients to work through various issues including trauma, mental health issues, relationship issues, negative coping strategies such as addictions and low self-esteem to name but a few. I have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the role that our early childhood experiences play in later life and how our early attachments to those around us shape our self-image and ability to cope with stress and hardship as adults. I have particular expertise in assisting clients who have been the victims of physical, sexual, emotional or relationship abuse, amongst other concerns.

I provide a compassionate, safe space for you to explore your issues in a non-judgmental and positive way. Online counselling takes away the stress of attending face to face meetings and allows you to feel relaxed, all while you are surrounded by your home comforts. I will help you discover the root cause of your distress and help you heal by becoming more self-aware to become a better version of you.

We will work together to give you the tools you need to gain control back over your life, giving you the freedom to make better decisions and cope better with life’s struggles. Counselling can help you to find inner peace whilst giving you the tools to improve relationships with others but most importantly with yourself. It is an investment in your future, and it will allow you to move on from whatever has been holding you back. Being authentically and unapologetically our true self is the key to a more fulfilling and happier life. So, start your journey and give yourself the opportunity to create the life you deserve and let’s get started together on your brighter beginning!

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
