Michelle Sawyers Pg Dip Registered MBACP
Welcome to my profile. I believe passionately in the use of counselling to restore and maintain good mental health. My experience has been gained working in counselling agencies that welcome clients with diverse and complex reasons for seeking help.
I am qualified in integrative counselling which means I have the freedom to combine techniques from many approaches to explore difficulties experienced by clients. Creating a warm counselling relationship utilising a person centred approach, we will use relational psychodynamics to explore and understand how our experiences have carved out the thoughts and feelings we experience today. Then we can look to C.B.T. to adjust those thoughts and feelings to be more productive or realistic. This also allows the therapy to be tailored to the individual with focus applied wherever and whenever it feels right, allowing a more lasting positive outcome.
A relatively new understanding of the value mindfulness in counselling means I have been trained to integrate it into to the sessions if it is required or desired.
So if you are still unsure if I can help, feel free to ring to discuss if counselling is right for you.
