About me

Due to the Corona Virus outbreak

In light of what is happening and under the advice and guidance of the BACP. I am only offering counselling via Skype and telephone at present.

What I offer as an Integrative therapist

I offer counselling and psychotherapy in a safe, confidential and supportive environment in the comfort of my private home, or via skype, telephone or home visit, for you to explore privately at your own pace, any feelings and experiences which may be uncomfortable to discuss with others. The clients needs are of the up most importance and as an Integrative therapist my aim is to practice in a way which will gain the best outcome for the client.

Is counselling for me
Many people seek counselling for all sorts of reasons from past or present events that may be affecting them, they can be left feeling alone, depressed, overwhelmed or struggling to cope. Life can be challenging at times and cause us to behave in ways detrimental to our health, emotional well being and relationships. This may leave us feeling frustrated, angry, sad and vulnerable and whilst these can be testing times they can also become an opportunity for growth and self-development.

My aim
My aim as a therapist is to build a solid therapeutic relationship, this involves building trust, maintaining confidentiality, and securing a safe space, for you as an individual to feel comfortable to discuss and explore at your own pace, whatever you wish, without judgement

I am a registered member of the B.A.C.P and bound by their code of ethics and practice according to the B.A.C.P. You can move at your own pace, and talk about things if and when you are ready. As a therapist continuing professional development is important, to keep up to date with the many changes that happen as counselling evolves. I regularly take part in CPD workshops.

Getting started...
I offer counselling on a long or short term basis. Sessions last for 50 minutes.

I offer a 15 minute free confidential telephone consultation. This gives you the option to discuss what you feel your counselling needs are. Some of these may include, asking me any questions that may be concerning you about counselling. As well any query's about fees, sessions, or how I work.

Location
You are very welcome to visit me in my private home, I am based in the beatiful village of Shotley. Offering calm and tranquil settings and lovely countryside. At times coming to a therapist can feel very difficult, if this is the case. I also offer counselling via Skype, telephone and home visit
