Hi, I'm Michelle, I am an Integrative therapist currently working online.
My aim is to build a solid therapeutic relationship with you, which involves building trust and securing a safe space for you as an individual, to feel comfortable to discuss whatever you wish, without judgement.
You can move at your own pace, and discuss any feelings and experiences which may be uncomfortable to discuss with others, when you are ready.
Many people seek counselling for all sorts of reasons - from past or present events, we can be left feeling alone, depressed, sad, overwhelmed or struggling to cope.
Life can be challenging at times and cause us to behave in ways detrimental to our health, emotional well being and relationships. This may leave us feeling frustrated, angry, sad and vulnerable and whilst these can be testing times they can also become an opportunity for growth and self-development.
My clients needs are of the utmost importance, and therefore, my aim is to practice in a way which will gain the best outcome for the client. I have experience of working with individuals and couples from different age groups, cultural background and ethnicity on a long and short term basis. This has allowed me learn and gain experience in wide range of presenting issues.
I offer an initial consultation at a reduced fee - this allows you to decide if I am the right therapist for you. So if you have questions at all, please get in touch.

I am a registered member of the BACP and I am bound by their code of ethics and practice. As a therapist, continuing professional development is important to keep up to date with the many changes that happen as counselling evolves. Therefore, I regularly take part in CPD workshops.
In addition to being in private practice, I have experience in a University setting working with student clients. I also worked for two years as a Counsellor / Psychotherapist at Lighthouse Women's Aid, which covers a range of issues as a result of Domestic Abuse.
Some of these included depression, anxiety, Low self-esteem/confidence, feelings of blame, shame and guilt, P.T.S.D (Post-traumatic stress disorder) identity and personality loss. I also worked for a year counselling clients, at Suffolk Mind (Waves) in Bury St. Edmunds, specialising in Personality disorders. In addition to the above, I am a Dissociative Identity disorder friendly counsellors list, via PODs.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
