About me
It's really hard to reach out and ask for support and I welcome you to my profile.
Do you struggle with anxiety, and loss of a sense of self that affects your day-to-day life, ability to function or your relationship? Do you feel overwhelmed, and exhausted by getting through the day, thinking there is no light at the end of the tunnel? Do you question if life could be better?
At Rose Therapy, I believe that everyone has the potential to live a fulfilling life. My counselling services are designed to help you overcome challenges, and guide you through looking at the reasons for your anxiety, feelings or emotions whilst being by your side. I listen and reflect on what I hear in a way that helps make sense of what is happening to you, this offers you self-awareness and clarity to create change and find answers.
I offer unconditional acceptance of you, empathy and no judgement, allowing you to talk freely without any defence mechanisms, you can be completely yourself and feel safe.
I may highlight any patterns, behaviours, or negative thoughts that I may notice in our sessions. This offers you an understanding of where these have come from and why which helps create authentic change and growth.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information
Counselling is like building a jigsaw together. We will unpack the box, look at all the pieces together and see where they fit in the jigsaw. Whether they were placed upon you, do not belong with you or whether they are in the past that needs acceptance. It’s a tough game to play, but together it can be peaceful, joyful, emotional and most importantly we do it together in a safe and calming environment. Give me a call or send me a message to take the first step together.
