About me

My name is Michele Naylor and I am based in Portland and Weymouth. I am a qualified and experienced BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) registered Counsellor and hold a Diploma of Counselling.

Counselling is a chance for you to talk and to be really heard in a non-judgemental and safe environment. It gives you the opportunity to explore anything that is worrying you.

As a Counsellor, I work in a person-centred way, integrating other approaches to suit the individual needs of my clients.  We will establish a safe, professional relationship based on trust and respect. I offer both short- and long-term work to suit individual needs. I attend regular supervision to ensure safe and ethical practice. My experience includes working with bereavement, sexual trauma, abortion, self-harm, eating disorders and general anxiety and depression

Please call/email or text me if you would like further details. I may not be able to answer your call so please leave a message and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
