About me
I offer therapy online, or in-person in South East London. I am Michaela, a qualified therapist registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I have a background in the performing arts, currently acting as a trustee on the board of an arts organisation, supporting young people in the arts through various community based projects.
As an integrative psychotherapist my approach draws from different styles offering my clients support that is more tailored to them. Through reflection and dialogue, I offer space to uncover underlying beliefs, challenge limiting narratives, and develop new ways of coping and engaging with life.
People often come to me when they are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected. They may be facing difficulties in their relationships, going through major life changes, struggling with complex emotional pain, looking to better understand themselves and experiencing greater stability and emotional well-being in their life.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a Postgraduate Diploma, an in my final year of an MA in Psychotherapy and Counselling.
I have experience working with a diverse range of issues such as relationship challenges, anxiety, stress, grief, depression, substance use, domestic violence, and exploring identity.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
Our work will involve better understanding your experiences, uncovering deeper meanings, and developing tools for coping. You can expect increased self-awareness, emotional resilience, and clarity in navigating life's challenges.
Your experience will be one of deep exploration, where we engage in reflective dialogue to uncover the meanings behind your emotions, patterns, and challenges. Rather than a rigid, one-size-fits-all approach, our work will be a collaborative process, helping you make sense of your experiences, develop new perspectives, and find relief in a way that feels true to you.
