About me

I am committed to providing therapy in a safe, empathic, confidential, inclusive and non-judgemental environment. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, grief, depression, relationship difficulties or addictions, we can explore your concerns and worries together so that you can gain a better understanding of yourself, the situation and experience a heightened sense of well-being.

Our first meeting will be a discussion about what brings you to therapy and what you hope to achieve from it. Should you wish to continue with therapy, we will agree an initial timeframe to work towards and review your progress at regular, agreed intervals.  I work with clients from a diverse range of backgrounds and have extensive experience working with the LGBTQIA+ community.

I'm based in Worthing and I am able to work both face to face as well as online via google meet.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call or email me. If we decide that you may need another type of support, I can help you to find it.

Why therapy?

Therapy provides a unique and safe space for us to explore our thoughts and feelings. It involves investigating ‘the self’ - looking at our cognitions, emotions and experiences and coming to understand and accept how past events may have influenced the way that we live today.

When we begin to understand and accept ourselves, we may be able to find different ways of coping with previously distressing or unmanageable thoughts, feelings and behaviours.

How I work:

I work in an Integrative way meaning I believe that every client is unique and may therefore need different things from therapy. I have an openness to a variety of different therapies so I am able to support you in a way which works best for you.

When working psycho-dynamically we explore psychological processes which may have developed in the past (often in childhood) and how these show up in the present day. Using the person-centred approach, we look at the way you perceive yourself consciously, helping you to reach goals of your choosing and at your own pace. When using cognitive behavioural therapy, we look at how your thoughts, beliefs and attitudes affect your feelings and behaviour.

Through regular therapy you will be able to explore your ‘internal world' and become increasingly aware on as to how your unique experiences have shaped who you are. This awareness is key to helping you to grow in confidence, getting to know yourself at a deeper level and feeling secure in the choices and changes you make in your life.

I am also experienced in running my own private practice. My work saw me nominated for a National Diversity Award in 2023 under the category LGBT Role Model.
