Michael Scott BA(hons). PGdip. SReg ATh (Accredited Art Therapist)
General and eclectic, broadly psychodynamic approach.
Creativity and art is available to anyone to express thoughts and feelings. You don't have to be 'good at art'. You may even have the idea that you are 'not artistic'. Art Therapy can be a space to reflect, explore and communicate with art materials in a safe and boundaried, therapeutic relationship.
Sometimes words are hard to find for complex or painful experiences. The arts can help to provide a creative means of expression and for making connections. The arts can help us to find a way forward in understanding ourselves, relating to others, gaining confidence and making positive changes in our lives.
Arts Therapists complete an MA level training and are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council
I work with clients in South East London and I also have some availability to see clients in Chichester, West Sussex. Contact me on 0208 141 6714 / 07884 251283.
