About me

I am a qualified Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapist, and an accredited member of the British Association of Cognitive & Behavioural Psychotherapists (BABCP), which is the lead organisation for CBT in the UK.

I am warm and empathetic and provide a confidential safe space for my clients to explore the problems and issues they bring to therapy.

I offer a CBT service to help people overcome problems in their lives, which can often be associated with low confidence and self esteem. I also work with people who experience a variety of difficulties including:

-Anxiety, generalised anxiety disorder, panic disorder, phobias and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)
-Bereavement issues
-Personality Disorders
-Drug and Alcohol Addiction.

I am also experienced working with a variety of people who feel they need help with personal development, enabling them to achieve specific goals either related to their career or within their personal lives.

CBT explores the relationship between what you do, what you think and how you feel. I will work with you to find the best way forward and help you find manageable solutions to your problems. CBT is recommended as the first choice psychological treatment by government NICE guidelines and has by far the largest evidence base for effectiveness of all psychological therapies. If you are experiencing any kind of difficulty, CBT can help.

I am passionate about CBT and the positive results my clients have achieved. With the correct support and techniques, people overcome even the most entrenched barriers and can lead more satisfying and fulfilling lives.

Please feel free to call me on 07974225868 for an informal conversation about what you would like to get out of therapy. After our first call and If you are happy to continue we can set up a first session. Usually i arrange either weekly/fortnightly appointments after that. On average CBT is recommended for around 8 sessions although everyone is different and the length of therapy is individual to you. Please see below for my availability.
