About me

I provide a professional, warm, safe environment in which you can explore your troubles, in order to find realistic and practical solutions to move forward with your life. Everything is treated with the strictest confidence. I have over 10 years experience working with clients.

We all need that place to explore our difficulties from time to time. It is my belief that provided the right environment we can search and find the solutions to our problems. Counselling can be a daunting prospect and I would like to help put your mind a little at ease. You are the one that dictates the pace of the counselling sessions with me. I place a great value on this. Each person is unique, therefore there is no one solution that fits all.

As you are already here looking at my profile you have already identified a need for counselling. How do you know I am the counsellor for you? Why not have a look at my website and check out my testimonials page and see other peoples experiences with me. You could also check out my facebook page and see the reviews that have been left. The links for these are at the top of this page. Alternatively you could get in touch either by calling me or sending an email.

I offer a free over the phone consultation and I am willing to answer any questions you have. I look forward to hearing from you, Michael.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
