Emily Mia Hughes-Smith BSc (hons) Dip. Sup MBACP
I am a person-centred counsellor and therapeutic supervisor based in Eastbourne. I offer a safe, confidential and gentle space for you to explore potentially difficult, tender or traumatic aspects of life.
I understand that there are many reasons for people to seek counselling and those reasons can be very painful. I am naturally very empathic and non-judgemental, I believe in the power of the relationship between myself and my clients. The connections we develop, combined with offering specific conditions through counselling can have profound effects when working towards positive and long lasting change.
As well as 1:1 counselling I offer couples counselling and Progressive Family Therapy, promoting individual growth and connection as part of a group.
I am also a person-centred supervisor, providing space for counsellors to explore their work, creatively and restoratively, ensuring their ethical obligations of working in the clients best interest and promoting their self-care.
If you would like to know more about counselling or supervision, or if you have any questions I would love to hear from you, 07738879691. Warm wishes, Mia.
