About me

I am an experienced and compassionate counsellor dedicated to supporting young people through their emotional and mental health challenges. With a background in the NHS child counselling service and experience working in secondary schools, I have a deep understanding of the unique struggles young people face today.

I have extensive experience working with children dealing with anxiety, helping them navigate the challenges it brings. Over the years, I’ve supported many children in understanding and managing their feelings, using techniques that help them feel more in control and less overwhelmed. I know how tough it can be for both children and parents when anxiety gets in the way of everyday life, and I’m here to offer practical support. By creating a safe, understanding space, I help children build confidence, learn coping strategies, and feel more empowered in managing their anxiety. If your child is struggling, I’m here to help. I am also experienced with depression, low mood, anger management, behavioural issues, self-harm and confidence issues.

Experienced working with children with additional needs such as ASD, ADHD and selective mutism.

As a trained integrative counsellor, I combine various therapeutic approaches to tailor support to each individual's needs. I use play-based interventions to help children express themselves in a way that feels comfortable to them, alongside cognitive-based strategies to help manage thoughts and emotions.

I am passionate about helping young people navigate their difficulties, build resilience, and achieve their goals. I know that taking the first step toward counselling can be daunting, and I am committed to providing a supportive and non-judgmental space where young people feel safe and understood. Together, we can work towards positive change, helping you move forward with confidence and clarity.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
